GIMP Adding Fonts Tutorial

Here's a tutorial that will hopefully help you if you’re planning on adding some fonts to gimp.

1. First, download the font you want to add to your gimp. For this tutorial I'll use the font Cheri which I downloaded from Da Font

2. Now that the font you wanted is as good as downloaded, move the font to the folder where you keep your gimp stuff (like brushes and patterns)

3. Open GIMP now and open the fonts tab and find your font or type in your font in the text tab.

If the font isn’t there then, in gimp, go to file then preferences. When you’re in preferences click the + beside Folders then click on Fonts. Add the folder where your font is if it isn't there already. When you’re done, click Ok and restart gimp. (basically close it and open it again) The font should now be there.

4. Since your font is now selected click the text tab and click your picture. When you start typing the words on you picture should be in the font that you just chose. Your now
